The instrument was built by Girolamo, who continued to use the shared templates even after his brother’s death. For this reason, it is virtually impossible to attribute many instruments definitively to one of the brothers. It has a body length of 35.6 cm, but is otherwise not preserved in its original condition. As with the instrument by Andrea Amati, the replica is based on iconographic evidence and mathematical proportions.
